Bean Hole Bash
The last Northwood Bean Hole Bash was in the summer of 1997. This year the Northwood Fire and Rescue Association decided it was time to bring it back. They have recruited a growing number of other community organizations and individuals to present a day and a half of fun, great food and community for us all!
Please plan to join us on Friday, July 26th, as the preparations for cooking the beans go forward on the Town Hall grounds, and then again on Saturday, July 27th, all day at various locations in the area. See you there!

The Northwood Bean Hole Bash committee is starting to work on next year’s event! But before we move forward we want to take a look back at Northwood’s wonderful community effort and say thank you to a lot of people.

Rather than try to pick and choose from these pictures, we decided to post the link to Don's site so you could just go and look at your leisure. Enjoy!

How do you make a Bean Hole? Here's some pictures of the process, with many thanks to Sandy Priolo for the photos!
What do you put in the hole?
Greg Bane and helper make sure it's deep enough
Dave Tousignant on the back hoe lowers the tank into the hole
Finished with sand around the tank and a nice flagstone surface. There is also a cover. Steve Bailey and Greg Bane admire their work.

Many thanks to LInda Smith of Sign Spectrum for creating the sign at Town Hall for the Bash! Working from memory of the sign that was used in the earlier days, she is making sure no one misses this event. And we can reuse the sign because the dates are easily changed year to year!
